Demonology
While people, cultures, religions, and beliefs around the world are diverse there are still some consistencies that appear. These manifest in what I like to call global legends although some are not merely legends but are in fact part of the culture and belief system. There are entities such as werewolves and vampires, there are ghosts and fae, but the most feared of these creatures is the demon. Demons are usually associated with Judaism and Christianity but in fact they span the entire globe. Some are more gods and goddess than they are demon but they all share the fact that they love to create michief and even evil among mortal men. There are thousands of demons that harrass humanity, some are little more than imps or sprites that play tricks on the unwary and others are giant malignant forces waiting to devour flesh and soul in the darkness. There are some that call any evil spirit or malevolent entity a demon but in fact most of these are probably just disgruntled spirits. True demons can manifest at any time and cause destruction or creation.
From the depths of hell to the earthly planes, this is the realm of demons.
