Faerie is to me

Faerie is indescribable,

you can't place it

and you can't explain why.

It's something in the wind

Flickering in the corner of your eye.

It's a part of the stars

and a part of the trees.

It's suspicious movement in the shadows.

It's dozing off at purplish dusk or pinkish dawn

and floating off the blurred edges of reality

open,

with moths and moonbeams still alive in your hair.

It's when the fragrance of the rain combines with the voices of flowers

filling your head

It's the earth talking to your bones

It's nature, speaking in the language of feelings

to your open mind.

"You've asked me what these creatures are and, I must admit, I do not know. Spirits, phantastes, fairies, ghosts - no single word seems adequete.

They appear in the shapes we clothe them with."
