Down by the pool-side
all the statues that you
used to know
the crying gods whose
tears still flow
the shadows where we
used to hide
down by the pool-side
Down by the pool-side
it's so damned cold this
winter's night
the ice reflects in
dying light
our faces and the
thoughts we'd tried to hide
down by the pool-side
Down by the pool-side
we are dying, crying
out in pain
burning in this
poison rain
writhing in the
grip of things the
murky waters hide
down by the pool-side
Down by the pool-side
we're the statues that we
used to know
the dying gods whose
blood still flows
lost in shadows where
we used to hide
down by the pool-side
