far beyond Orion
the voices growing louder
under the horizon
the sky is dead
the clouds are swimming
in my head
I've lost my innocence
I've lived in decadence
it's time to pay the Piper
it's time to pay the Price
the chant is growing stronger
all sway in raptured thunder
the night is growing longer
I'm slowly going under
swallowed by the Umbra
swallowed in the sea
it's time to pay the Piper
it's time to pay the Price
a ducat for the Mariner
who sails the Seas of Ice
the moon is waxing, wailing
the stars are burning out
the simple tune is failing
a voice begins to shout
incantations
in the bitter wind
to scream of brilliant agony
the Devil and Her coterie
are sipping Wormwood Wine
a sip and all the while I'm frozen
drowning in the brine
the voices swelling, pounding
so piercing and so shrill
one thrust and two and three and now
my blood begins to spill
a sanguine incantation
to stain the icy shore
a blackbird in the distance crying
crying "Nevermore!"
it's over
