Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
Amphion is currently the High Priest of Sable Star, the oldest coven of Gardnerian witches in Nova Scotia. His lineage, like that of all Gardnerians, extends back to Gerald Gardner himself, but through a direct British line without passing through the Buckland lines.
Amphion's interest in the Western Mysteries began at an early age, initially through an intense interest in the mythological cycles of the ancient Greeks, Romans and Celts. This hobby led him to the Western Mystery Tradition, and a years long study of such diverse esoteric topics as Kabbalah, ceremonial magic, wicca, Tarot and hermeticism soon followed.
In 1996, Amphion met the man nd woman who would ultimately become his magickal parents, for he joined Sable Star as a neophyte in 1997, under the name Horus, which ultimately was modified to Ankh-f-n-Hrw, the ancient Egyptian for 'Life is in (the god) Horus'. A period of study, training and self-evaluation began, culminating in his initiation as a priest and witch. Study of the Golden Dawn rituals and teachings as well as Thelema became a major focus.
In 1999, upon the semi-retirement of Sable Star's High Priest, Amphion assumed the office, one in which he continues to this day.
Amphion concieved Abiegnus shortly after his initiation, intending it to be not only a resource for those curious about the Western Mysteries but also as a forum for occultists and mystics to display essays and articles to the mystical community at large.
Amphion is also a supporting member of the Aleister Crowley Foundation, a musician and father of one.
Love is the law, love under Will.
