In the tradition of the Golden Dawn, Abiegnus is the symbolic Mystical Mountain of Initiation. The rituals and ceremonies of that influential order were conducted symbolically in a cavern at the center of this mountain, which represented the long climb of the mystic towards his ultimate goal: enlightenment and reunion with the Divine. The purpose of this site is to act as a resource for the Western Mystery Tradition, including Gardnerian Witchcraft, Kabbalah, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Thelemic doctrines of the late Aleister Crowley, as well as some of the myths and legends of the occult. I am currently, and slowly, adding such classics as 'Le Morte D'Arthur' and the 'Mabinogion'.

In this site I have included essays on various aspects of the occult, some basic, others less so. As time passes, new sections will be added, and new topics will be covered. Abiegnus will grow, but a guestbook and a method of emailing me (Amphion) have been included in order to allow you to provide feedback. The Cavern of the Gods is here to serve all; if what you seek isn't here, let me know and it soon will be.
At last, the section of contributed articles, concerning various aspects of the occult and modern wicca and neo-paganism has come! Check them out at the Contributed Articles section! If you wish to submit an article, email me and I'll give you the guidelines, for Abiegnus is also intended as a forum for occultists to share knowledge, theories and information.
