Everyone deserves a safe place to pee!
The HBP, "is dedicated to anyone who has ever avoided using a public restroom for any reason.... especially all my friends with gender-related issues, whether you're a butch woman, a femmy man, a trans person of any stripe, single parents out in public with other-sexed toddlers, disabled people out in public with other-sexed caregivers, and anyone else who's had to choose between getting hassled and "holding it"."

On a more personal note, as a butchy/andro lesbian, I get hassled all the time and I know I would love to have such a list available! So, I decided to be proactive. I want stories, I want recommended safe washrooms. In restaurents, coffee shops, malls, you name it. If you've tried it and its safe ... it needs to be listed here! submit a washroom !

:: HALIFAX ::
- Grabba Jabba - Spring Garden Rd
Coffee Shop - Has one toilet for all. It is accessable and reasonably clean. It should be noted that the isles on the way to the toilet are cramped for wheelchairs. DGC
:: NEW BRUNSWICK ::
- Champlain Mall (in Dieppe) - Has great washroom facilities. There is a nursing room for parents with nursing children, I have seen a drag queen and a MtoF tranny in the womens washroom and there was NO harrassment. Plus there are clean. However the washrooms near Sears are notorious as a pick up spot...whatever floats your boat
