With axe in hand, you stand wearily against the demon. Raising the axe above your head you take a violent strike but inches from the skeletal structure a dim red glow comes from Morbid's eyes and the axe head turns to hot melted metal and handle to dusty ash in seconds. Fearing what would happen to you, you turn and run back to the car. The ground trembles and dozens of undead rise from the soil grasping your feet and legs. Ripping your pants the bony fingers snap and pop off in gruesome ways. The smell of blood creates a bloodlust and the entire cemetary becomes a raging scene of zombies and skeletons. In the darkness you stumble over a small grave marker. Undead pounce on your fallen body. Luckily their weak, fraile bodies are no match for yours, but they manage to rip into your skin quickly. After making it through the gates you dont bother to even close them and get into your car. It starts right up. Popping it into reverse you haul away from the dark cemetary onto the streets. Surprizingly the demon does not chase. It would seem stronger in the dark cemetary.

The red sky becomes brighter farther away from the cemetary. Looking in your rear-view mirror a zombie jumps out infront of your car and you smash into it unknowingly. The impact causes you to swerve across the desolate road and almost crash the small car. Merely houses from your own you get out and run to the door, opening it instantly and shut it behind. Locking and securing the door, you check the kitchen where the two dead zombies lay and go to the sink to clean up and quench your thirst. The only thing that can be done is read the books in the attic. So you head up the stairs and into the attic. |

You gather the books and place everything back into the chest. Carrying it to the den so you can read through them better. Three books are of necromancy, one of spells, and one without title. The only one that can even remotely be read is the one without a title. Flipping pages for anything you might use you find a diagram of letters. It would appear to show you how to translate the coded book into readable english. You make a copy of this and begin writing from beginning.

The untitled book is a diary, Morbid Love's diary. It depicts his fascination with death and witchcraft. Telling a tale of how he became possesed by a demon and in the end, killed himself to end the pain. It is written from the bitter age of thirteen to the age of thirty-five. Born December 12th he grew up in the house at the address you visited earlier. The most important discovery is how to defeat the demon. You must be an outsider to the demon, an innocent. And details that the books are written in the same alphabet that the diary is. Three spells must be cast on the user before a potion can be used; Knowledge Brew. You translate the spell book and cast the spells. Get the reciepe for the knowledge brew. Even though you wont need it because further reading of the diary explains that a ring will allow the wearer to have the same effect, a spell must be cast on the ring. Casting the spell on the described ring the black onyx turns a bright clear red color and glows for a second. You put it on. Your brain begins to take in knowledge at an alarming rate, the room becomes dark and wind stirs papers in a orderly manner. Almost as though the books were being telepathically read and memorized. Your hair falls out after turning white, and your eyes become pale red. You understand. In high enlightenment you stir about the room for one last answer. How to destroy the evil. Books appear to have re-written themselves in a completely legible form. The book "Expelling Demons" you learned how to make a demon leave a body, but not how to destroy it. In "Invoking the Dead" you learned how to control the undead. With the help of "Being an Unholy Necromancer" you learned that only faith in life can put the demon back into it's hell. Obviously the only way to dispell the demon would be to send it back from whence it came.
