I was born on April 20, 1970, and I am (like all ladies) twenty seven years old regardless of my true age. :) After pulling almost two years in the mortgage industry, I got fed up and dropped out. I am not a yuppie. I'm actually pretty good at mortgages, and okay at sales, but I don't like the industry. I think it's very unfriendly to consumers. So now I am working as a telephone psychic, and will soon (I hope) be setting up my own hotline. This, in turn, will help finance a Renaissance festival. In the meantime, I have a second job as assistant editor/content editor of Darksites.com (just call me Mistress! *crack*) I also plan to go back to academia for a PhD in English. I'm not sure where; I'm exploring my options now, which also include a low-residency MFA in creative writing, and a second BA and PhD in classical civilization. I guess I really am a masochist.
Some of my poetry is published on poetry.com if you want to look it up under the names Sarah Dorrance and Sarah Maddox. The stuff that I send there is what I consider second-rate, because poetry.com is basically a vanity press. Not that vanity presses are a bad thing. I'm all for self-publication.
I'll eventually get around to publishing a random list of favourite links from my bookmarks here.
Here's a little bit about me. You're probably here for the "naughty pictures, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...The poetry section will be expanding considerably, because I've been typing up more of my work. As you can see, I'm also in the middle of cosmetic facelist - for the VDA site, for my personal section of it, everything. The poetry will be the most work because there's just so damn much of it.
