Lyin' there in the dead of darkness
silence fills the air
all alone no one to talk to
no one to really care

The darkness starts to take over
I feel it deep inside
So much darkness all around
I have no place to hide

No sign of light no ray of hope
for this soul of mine
All the dreams and the wishes
I have to leave behind

The darkness has taken over
I have no reason to stay
I close my eyes and realize
